No bullet had touched me, 

Yet a part of me died, 

The old me is stuck there, 

Where the bodies have lied, 

That sight can't be unseen, 

That memory just won't leave, 

A life changing moment, 

Changed everything I believe, 

Life can change in seconds, 

So get today and own it, 

Every breath is a blessing, 

For it can be taken in a moment, 

If I would've passed, 

Would people have regrets, 

Would I be remembered through time, 

Or someone easy to forget, 

What stories would be told, 

Would people wish they had more to tell, 

Does it change a thing, 

Since I survived that hell, 

Who really loves me, 

Who really cares, 

Who would truly miss me, 

If my life ended there, 

Am I living right, 

Am I living wrong, 

What would I leave, 

If my life was gone, 

So many emotions, 

You don't know which to pick, 

Life changed in a blink, 

Guess there no such thing as too quick, 

Those of us here today, 

Feel the blessing of life, 

Not a day that passes, 

We don't think of that night, 

But we will get through this, 

We will be stronger, 

We will keep fighting, 

When we think we can't fight any longer, 

We will get over these walls, 

We will be better than before, 

We will tell that story, 

And be blessed to tell many more, 

We can climb these mountains, 

We will fight forever, 

We will be country strong, 

For we are invincible together.
